“Charcoal-grilled kushiyaki and seasonal specialty restaurant Beppu Sumishun” is an izakaya located in Beppu city in Oita prefecture.
Beppu is an area famous for being one of the leading hot spring destinations in Japan.
Located just a minute’s walk away from the East Exit of “Beppu Station” our restaurant is often visited by tourists who are heading to hot springs in the area.

Our restaurant sources fresh seasonal seafood on a daily basis.
The ingredients are carefully selected and prepared for the special dishes
we offer such as “sashimi,” a staple of Japanese cuisine, as well as Oita’s local specialty “ryukyu.”

Our restaurant serves sake sourced from areas across Japan as well as the local sake of Oita.

We serve a variety of Japanese set meals such as "oyakodon" (chicken and egg rice bowl),
"karaage" (deep-fried meat), as well as famous Oita local specialties such as "ryukyu-don" (fresh fish in sake-based soy sauce) and "toriten" (tempura-style fried chicken).

Our interior decor features striking lanterns creating the unique atmosphere of a typical Japanese izakaya.
In addition to counter seats, our restaurant also has spacious table seats as well as sunken kotatsu seats.
We accept reservations for groups of 12 people and above,
and are happy to cater to large groups such as tour groups.
